Age of Conan Best Solo Class

In Age of Conan, there are several classes to choose from, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. Classes are divided into four archetypes: Soldier, Priest, Rogue, and Mage. When it comes to solo play, some classes perform better than others. However, it is important to note that the best solo class is subjective and depends on your playstyle and skill level.

Soldier

Guardian

Soloability: High

Guardians are a great choice for solo play due to their high survivability. They can take a lot of damage, making them a tough target for enemies. The downside is that they may not kill enemies as quickly as other classes.

Pros: Heavy armor, shields, high survivability

Cons: Not great damage per second (DPS)

Conqueror

Soloability: High

Conquerors are another good choice for solo play among soldiers. They have good armor and survivability, combined with decent DPS from their mastery of 2-handed weapons or dual wielding.

Pros: Plate armor, good DPS

Cons: None

Priest

Priest of Mitra

Soloability: High

The Priest of Mitra (POM) is a great solo class due to their healing abilities. Being able to heal yourself is crucial for survival when soloing. POMs also have decent DPS.

Pros: Heals, decent DPS

Cons: Low armor

Tempest of Set

Soloability: High

The Tempest of Set (ToS) is a great solo class due to their combination of healing spells, AoE damage spells, and crowd control spells.

Pros: Healing, crowd control, AOE damage, and heals

Cons: None

Bear Shaman

Soloability: High

Like other Priests, Bear Shamans are great for solo play. They have the ability to do melee DPS and can wear medium armor, unlike other healers who only wear light armor.

Pros: Heals, medium armor, decent DPS

Cons: None

Rogue

Barbarian

Soloability: High

Barbarians are a great choice for solo play among Rogues. They have the ability to do huge amounts of melee damage and can stun and knock down enemies. The downside is that they can only wear light armor.

Pros: Good DPS, stuns/knockdowns, stealth

Cons: Light armor

Assassin

Soloability: Low

Although all classes can be soloed in AoC, the Assassin is not the best choice for solo play. Their low armor and lack of healing abilities make them vulnerable to death. They have good DPS, but are not the optimal choice for soloing.

Pros: Good DPS, stealth

Cons: Low armor, low survivability

Ranger

Soloability: Low

Like the Assassin, Rangers are also a challenge to solo. They have good DPS, but must be selective with their pulls and can’t take much damage.

Pros: Good DPS, stealth

Cons: Low survivability

Mage

Demonologist

Soloability: High

Demonologists are capable of doing a lot of damage to enemies in a short amount of time, both single target and AOE. They also have buffs and good crowd control abilities.

Pros: Single target and AOE damage, buffs, crowd control

Cons: Can’t take much damage

Herald of Xotli

Soloability: Low

The Herald of Xotli (HoX) can do decent damage and has nice buffs, but they tend to die quickly and are not an ideal class for soloing.

Pros: Good DPS

Cons: Low armor, low survivability

Necromancer

Soloability: High

Necromancers can summon the dead to fight for them, which is a big advantage when soloing as they won’t be taking all the damage themselves. They also have powerful direct damage and DoT spells.

Pros: Good damage, pets

Cons: Can’t take much damage

While any class can level up to level 80 in Age of Conan, the best solo class is subjective and depends on your playstyle and skill level. From personal experience, Guardians, Conquerors, Priests, Barbarians, Demonologists, and Necromancers are some of the best solo classes. Ultimately, the best class for you is the one that you enjoy playing the most. Good luck!

Assassin, or sin, was actually pretty easy to solo if you have all the AA points for what you can before level 80! i leveled my sin to 80 in about 5-6 months! With the 100% XP modifier that you get when paying. Its more difficult when playing pvp than pve. :)

Klep,This sums up very well what tanking and henailg are like in most MMOs. The only thing I can figure is that people who tank and heal (like I do) are gluttons for punishment. Probably their parents were very emotionally cruel to them, so now they seek out masochistic pleasure by trying to heal or tank in LFD. Then there's the adrenaline junky, who only tanks or heals because they can't get through the day without a hit of panic to really blow their socks off. I know that my heart pumped harder when henailg heroic bosses with a group of idiots than it did when I got hit right in my driver side door head on by an SUV going at about 30 mph (might not sound fast, but when you see them coming and you're stuck between two cars at a light, it sure LOOKS fast). That I shook off, got out, and checked the other driver. In the heroics, I had to go lie down afterwards to let my heart rate settle.Anyway, very funny and entertaining post, by which I mean funny like emergency rooms are funny.Stubborn
