Beginner’s Templar Healer Build for The Elder Scrolls Online

Race Selection:

While any race can be a Templar Healer, the following races have passives that make them more suitable for the role:

  1. Breton: Max Magicka, Spell Resistance, and Cost Reduction
  2. High Elf: Max Magicka, Magicka Recovery, and Elemental Damage
  3. Argonian: Max Health, Healing Received, and Potion effectiveness

Attribute Points:

Allocate all 64 points into Magicka to maximize healing and ability usage.

Mundus Stone:

The Atronach (Magicka Recovery) or The Ritual (Healing Effectiveness)

Food and Potions:

  • Food: Tri-stat food (Max Health, Magicka, and Stamina)
  • Potions: Essence of Spell Power or basic health/magicka/stamina potions

Skills:

The skill setup for a beginner Templar Healer is as follows:

Bar 1 – Restoration Staff:

  1. Grand Healing – Morph to Healing Springs
  2. Regeneration – Morph to Rapid Regeneration
  3. Blessing of Protection – Morph to Combat Prayer
  4. Rune Focus – Morph to Channeled Focus
  5. Cleansing Ritual – Morph to Extended Ritual
  6. Ultimate: Rite of Passage – Morph to Remembrance

Bar 2 – Destruction Staff (Lightning):

  1. Puncturing Sweep – Morph to Puncturing Strikes
  2. Backlash – Morph to Purifying Light
  3. Unstable Wall of Elements – Morph to Elemental Blockade
  4. Restoring Aura – Morph to Repentance
  5. Radiant Oppression – Morph to Radiant Glory
  6. Ultimate: Solar Prison – Morph to Solar Disturbance

Champion Points:

Assuming you have 1800 CP available, focus on the following CP allocation to improve your healing abilities:

Craft (Green):

  1. Slot 1: Steed’s Blessing – 50 points
  2. Slot 2: Breakfall – 50 points
  3. Slot 3: Wanderer – 50 points

Warfare (Red):

  1. Slot 1: Boundless Vitality – 50 points (Slot Unlock at 1200 CP)
  2. Slot 2: Fortified – 50 points
  3. Slot 3: Rejuvenation – 50 points
  4. Slot 4: Tireless Guardian – 50 points (Slot Unlock at 1800 CP)

Remaining points in:

  • Preparation (up to 50 points)
  • Quick Recovery (up to 50 points)
  • Elemental Aegis (up to 50 points)
  • Hardy (up to 50 points)

Fitness (Blue):

  1. Slot 1: Tumbling – 50 points
  2. Slot 2: Mystic Tenacity – 50 points
  3. Slot 3: Hero’s Vigor – 50 points
  4. Slot 4: Defiance – 50 points (Slot Unlock at 1200 CP)
  5. Slot 5: Hasty – 50 points (Slot Unlock at 1800 CP)

Remaining points in:

  • Sprinter (up to 50 points)
  • Tireless Discipline (up to 50 points)
  • Fortification (up to 50 points)

Passives:

  1. Restoration Staff: All passives
  2. Destruction Staff: All passives
  3. Light Armor: All passives
  4. Heavy Armor: Juggernaut passive
  5. Medium Armor: Wind Walker and Athletics passives
  6. Templar: All passives in Aedric Spear, Dawn’s Wrath, and Restoring Light
  7. Undaunted: Undaunted Command and Undaunted Mettle
  8. Racial: All passives for your chosen race

Gear:

As a beginner, your priority should be to acquire easy-to-obtain gear that provides good bonuses. Here’s a beginner-friendly gear setup:

  1. 5x Seducer (Craftable set)
  2. 5x Sanctuary (Banished Cells dungeon)
  3. 2x Monster Set: Chokethorn (Elden Hollow I) or Nightflame (Elden Hollow II)

Traits and Enchantments:

  • Armor: Divines (all pieces) with Magicka enchantments
  • Weapons: Powered or Precise for Restoration Staff with Absorb Magicka enchantment; Infused for Lightning Staff with Shock or Absorb Magicka enchantment
  • Jewelry: Arcane with Magicka Recovery or Spell Damage enchantments
