If you’re just starting out in AdventureQuest 3D, the first thing you need to do is choose a class. There are four starter classes to choose from, and a total of 16 classes. Each one has its own unique set of abilities.
In AQ3D you are free to switch class at any time as long as you aren’t in combat, so your character can level up all the game’s classes.

Best Starter Class
Starting out in AQ3D you can choose between one of the four starter classes: Warrior, Rogue, Mage, and Healer.
They are all viable choices for different playstyles. The Warrior has high AOE DPS, the Rogue focuses on single-target DPS, the Mage is a ranged DPS class, and the Healer heals.
In general, the Warrior is the best starter class in AQ3D due to their high survivability and DPS. Mage and Rogue are also decent choices and will do some serious DPS in the later stages of the game. Healer is mostly good for group play.
Best Solo Class
There isn’t one particular class that is best for solo play in AQ3D. It really depends on your playstyle and the situation you are in.
The Paladin and Guardian classes are often considered the best at soloing due to the fact that they can heal and take a lot of damage, so they can take down some really powerful enemies. Both classes have poor DPS though so they won’t be killing large amounts of enemies quickly.
For killing a lot of enemies fast you might want to consider the Berserker instead as they have very high AOE DPS.
The Necromancer is also a very good choice as it can heal a little bit and do a lot of damage.
Best Tank Class
For tanking in AQ3D, Paladin and Guardian are the best choices. Both classes can take a ton of damage and heal.
Best DPS Class
There are many good DPS classes to choose from in AQ3D. Berserker is the best AOE DPS Class, and Dragonslayer is also often considered the best DPS class.

Best Healer/Support Class
The best healers in AQ3D are Healers and Paladins. Moglomancer is also a very good support class.
Best Overall Class
There really isn’t one class that is the most powerful in AQ3D. Most classes are useful in different situations. Dragonslayer, Guardian, Necromancer, Paladin and Berserker are all contenders for the title of best overall class.
It all comes down to your particular playstyle and what you need in any given situation. So make sure you choose wisely!
