Ranger Guide for AQ3D: How to Get and Play the Ranger Class

The Ranger Class is an expert in long-range combat. They focus mostly on doing AOE damage, but can also root their enemies to the ground. They aren’t among the top DPS classes but are still a fun and versatile class to play.

Remember to check out our AQ3D section for more class guides and other guides, including a leveling and gold guide.

In this guide, we will show you how to get the Ranger class and give you some tips on how to play it effectively. Let’s get started!

Unlocking the Ranger Class

To get the Ranger class, open the Class Window and click Unlock and Travel. Talk to Robina to start the “Ranger Training”. Repeat the daily quest until you can unlock the class.

Playing the Ranger

The Ranger is a DPS class. All the skills at your disposal are AOE attacks. The Trapper’s Instinct passive buffs the Ranger to do 30% more damage to immobilized (rooted or stunned) targets.

Build up focus to 100 and your next shot will be a guaranteed critical hit.

Skills and Rotation

  • Empowered Shot – AOE attack in a square line in front of you.
  • Rain of Arrows – AOE attack in a circle.
  • Bloodthorn Trap – Roots and Poisons enemies in a circle.
  • Arcane Archery (Ultimate) – A buff that makes your auto attack explode and do AOE damage.
  • Disengage (Cross-Skill) – Shoot and arrow, leap backwards and buffs movement speed.

The Ranger is pretty easy to play. Start off by using Empowered Shot. Use Rain of Arrows and Bloodthorn Trap after each other in the same spot. Be sure to use an ability at 100 Focus as you will automatically crit. Move around to build focus.
