How to get the Fiery Warhorse’s Reins

Share

The Fiery Warhorse is epic mount that is dropped by Attumen the Huntsman in Karazhan. The Fiery Warhorse’s Reins is pretty much a must for any mount collector in World of Warcraft, and of all the raid dropable mounts in WoW this one is relatively easy to get as it drops right inside the entrance of the raid.  Attumen is the first boss in Karazhan and getting to him from the entrance takes about 10 seconds or so. The droprate of the Fiery Warhorse’s reins is only about 1.1% so you can farm this as you can only kill him once a week. Since he is so close to the entrance though, this can be worth it if you like rare mounts as it will only take about 10 minutes of your time each week to complete this.

First you will head to Deadwind Pass in southern Eastern Kingdoms. The easiest way of getting here is going to Stranglethorn Vale and flying north to Deadwind Pass. Once you are here, move into the instance. Open the door and follow the pathway that curves to the left. Kill all the trash in this room. In the middle of the room you will see a horse named “Midnight”, kill it and Attumen will spawn. Kill him and cross your fingers! On my first main, i got the Fiery Warhorse’s Reins on the 3rd try so it is possible to get it quite fast.

You can also complete the rest of Karazhan solo if you want. It is a good raid zone to farm for gold and there are quite a few other nice transmog items and pets and such that drop from the instance. The only thing that is hard to solo here is the chess event at the end. Thankfull we have a full guide on how to solo it right here.
