Favored Soul Solo Build

The Favored Soul is much like a Cleric, only that they have fewer spells but have a higher spell point pool so they can cast more spells. The are great healers, can dish out some damage as well as buff and take some damage too. This makes the Favored Soul a great solo class. Like many other classes, getting a few Rogue levels helps on soloability and makes the character more versatile. Below you can find a good example of a Favored Soul Solo Build.

So like the build. Where I am lost is the starting skills. Where are you putting your points for this? For example Balance if I can only put 2 pts into balance and it is a cross class - I cannot get it up to 5?
